Keeping my septic system working:
Having access to the septic tank lids for routine maintenance is important. Knowing where the lids are positioned makes accessing the tank for pump out and easier task especially if the tank needs pumping during the winter months when the ground is frozen. Over time sludge accumulates at the bottom of the septic tank. If the sludge is allowed to accumulate it will eventually flow into the leacj=hing bed and clog the distribution pipes.
